WINTER 2013

Here are descriptions of where Mel will be conducting workshops in the winter of 2013.  For specific information including class availability, class description, registration, tuition, accommodations, etc., please contact the individual workshop organizers listed on the '13 Contact Info page.

Mel begins the new year in the beautiful island chain of the Florida Keys where he will be conducting a four-day workshop in Marathon, Florida.  This indoor workshop is being sponsored by the Florida Keys Watercolor Society.  The Keys are a wonderful destination with their white sandy beaches, coral barrier reefs, lagoons, national parks, and natural wildlife reserves. Perfect for a relaxing winter getaway with its tropical climate, beach- front cafes, and island bistros serving fresh seafood. Galleries abound from watercolors and oils to pottery and handcrafted jewelry.  A workshop in the Florida Keys is the best way to start off 2013!

Mel is looking forward to returning to Atlanta, Georgia in March where he will be conducting a five-day, indoor workshop for the Spruill Center for the Arts.   The Spruill Homeplace, the center of a large, working farm in Dunwoody, Georgia dating back to the mid-19th century, and five surrounding acres were donated to the Spruill Center for the Arts.  Established in 1975, Spruill Center, which is a private, non-profit organization, offers a wide range of programs as well as professional artist year-round exhibitions.  Atlanta, a city full of history, has numerous art galleries, museums, historic houses and scenic gardens.  Don't wait on joining this workshop...contact the Spruill Center to register!
