Here are descriptions of where Mel will be conducting workshops in the spring of 2016.  For specific info. including class availability, class description, registration, tuition, etc., please contact the workshop organizer listed on the ' 16 Contact Info page.

Mel heads out west to Phoenix, Arizona to conduct a three-day workshop and a one-day workshop for the Arizona Watercolor Association in mid-April. The workshops will take place at the Arizona Artists Guild, which provides a spacious classroom.  The Arizona Watercolor Association hosts a national watercolor exhibition and two member exhibitions juried by nationally recognized artists each year.  In addition to conducting the two workshops, Mel will be the juror for their spring exhibition.  With the Association's active membership, there is much interest in Mel's workshops so don't wait to register.  Though first priority is given to members regarding workshop registration, non-members are welcome to contact the Association to have their names placed on a waiting list.

Mel will be teaching next in New York, New York!  He is looking forward to teaching two 1-day, indoor workshops...one in early May and one in early June at  the New York Open Center in Manhattan.  Founded in 1984, the Open Center is a unique place offering a wide variety of educational programs ranging from holistic health, self-development, and yoga & meditation to photography, music, and arts & creativity.  With more than 300 programs, the Open Center is a wonderful place where people can enrich their lives. These two 1-day workshops are scheduled on Sundays, which make it convenient for those who work during the week.  Don't wait to register!

Mel continues his spring schedule with a five-day, indoor workshop in May in Mathews, Virginia. The Bay School Community Arts Center will be hosting this workshop.  The Arts Center has three classrooms and their own gallery where they exhibit paintings, pottery, stained glass, jewelry, etc. The Arts Center offers over 100 classes in fine arts and crafts including drawing, painting, photography, calligraphy, & more. Mathews is located in the historic Chesapeake Bay region with its beautiful nature preserves and colonial and Civil War sites.  In addition to the workshop, Mel will be the juror for the 2016 Virginia Watercolor Society's National Exhibition and will be doing a demonstration for the Society.
