FALL 2017

Here are descriptions of where Mel will be teaching in the fall of 2017. For specific info. including class availability, class description, registration, tuition, etc., please contact the workshop organizers listed on our '17 Contact Info page.

Mel makes a return visit to Fairfield, New Jersey in the beginning of October where he will be conducting a one-day workshop for Art@1275 Studio & Gallery. Located in Essex County, Art@1275 is ideal for an indoor workshop with its large, open studio. With ample wall space, the gallery has group shows as well as solo exhibitions. They have an open studio program and offer various art excursions to New York City. For those who are busy working during the week or just don't have the time to join a longer workshop, this one-day class being held on a Saturday is ideal. Beginners to advanced painters are welcome to join. Be sure to sign up soon!

Mel concludes his 2017 fall schedule with a three-day, indoor workshop in Sugar Loaf, New York in October.  The North East Watercolor Society will be hosting this workshop at the Seligmann Center, which is home to four galleries. Located in the scenic Warwick Valley of Orange County, Sugar Loaf is a quaint village surrounded by apple orchards, horse farms, and barns dating back to the 1700s.  It is known for its numerous talented artists and craftspeople and their many shops and galleries of paintings, sculpture, pottery, antiques, photography, and more.  In addition to the workshop, Mel is looking forward to being the Juror of Awards for the Society's 2017 International Juried Exhibition in the fall.  You don't have to be a member of the North East Watercolor Society to attend Mel's class. Registration is on a first come, first served basis.  Join Mel in Sugar Loaf in October... a beautiful time of year with peak fall foliage and lots of colors!
