Mel concludes his 2010 workshop schedule in beautiful New England at the end of September to conduct a five-day, plein-air workshop in Landgrove, Vermont for the Vermont Watercolor Society. The small, quaint village of Landgrove is located in Bennington County in southern Vermont and is near the towns of Peru and Londonderry. The natural beauty of Vermont is everywhere from the typical New England landscapes of meadows, streams, farms, barns, covered bridges, and country lanes to its small villages and historic towns. The Landgrove Inn, which will be providing lodging, is an 1810 farmhouse turned into a lovely bed & breakfast. The Inn offers comfortable accommodations in a beautiful mountain valley. Breathe in the clear, crisp autumn air and with the end of September being the time of peak color in southern Vermont, fall foliage abounds with the magnificent colors of reds, yellows, and oranges. The combination of sunny days with pleasant, cool nights along with countless painting subjects makes autumn in Vermont perfect for a watercolor workshop.
